The flow control valve can reduce the flow into the hydraulic cylinder and reduce the speed of the hydraulic cylinder. P431

5-1 type and application of the flow control valve   P431

5-1-1 throttle (Throttle Valve)

The throttle valve controls the flow rate through the throttle port based on the size of the throttle port. As shown in Figure 5-2

5-1-2 with Throttle-Check Valve P433

In the processing machinery, when the cutting action is performed, the hydraulic cylinder feeds slowly. To save time, the backward stroke is quickly retracted. To achieve this action, a check valve can be added. As shown in Figure 5-3 , the forward stroke is the same as the throttle valve, while the reverse stroke, the check valve seat is pushed up, and the hydraulic oil quickly bypasses (by pass) back to the inlet side.

5-1-3 pressure compensated flow control valve P434

(Pressure Compensated Flow Control Valve)

the flow rate of the throttle is proportional to the square root of the pressure difference before and after the throttle

(Temperature-Pressure Compensated Flow Control Valve)

In general processing machinery such as drilling machines or lathes, the cutters are usually fast-fed to save time when they are not close to the work. When the cutters are close to the work for cutting, they should be fed slowly, otherwise the cutters will be damaged.

Application example of reduction valve   P439

5-1-7 diverter valve (Valve Flow Divid)   P440

If you want to get two hydraulic cylinders to move synchronously , you can connect the inlet oil to the diverter valve to make the hydraulic oil flow into the two hydraulic circuits quantitatively. The flow is distributed to each hydraulic circuit (see Figure 5-16) . If classified according to the function of the diverter valve, it can be divided into (1) equal volume diverter valve ; (2) proportional diverter valve and(3) bypass diverter valve . Figure 5-17 shows the application example of the equal volume diverter valve.
